Hi guys, I recently noticed my steering controls ( cruise and radio controls ) dont light up orange anymore like they used to. I ended up purchasing new ones from hondapartsdeal.com. When I installed them I realize the worked properly with the radio etc but they still did not glow. Any idea how to fix this problem ?

Did you switch out your radio and cruise controls for the 06-07 accord controls? You know that from 2003-2005, they never lit up orange right? Or lit up at all for that matter.

I hate that we just have painted icons and that they don't light up.

Lit steering wheel switches came put in 2005 so if your switches used to light up in your 2004, then the previous owner must've swapped out the switches from an 05-07. You gotta buy switches from 05-07.
For brighter light, cut out the portion covering the LEDs.

I think it was covered in another thread which I can't seem to find, but would you have to swap the actual buttons as well? Or are pre '05 buttons already semi-transparent?

You have to swap the whole switch. Pretty easy to do. The pre 05 are printed on and aren't transparent.

ok I will order some 05 or 06 , its really distracting at night when you are used to the buttons glowing.

as long as they are the coupe so you get the amber

Order them from a 2005. They're like $10 cheaper than the 06-07s.

Hi there ! I followed someone help change switch on cruise control & radio from 05-07 will had Glow at night , I did a switch 05 for accord 04 & I saw don’t work for light on , maybe some thing wrong for install or accord 04 don’t had wire ready conect light for switch ? I install 05 switch cruise& radio still working but don’t GLOW on night? Thanks for help
