4 cyl vtec no compression

Had a timing jump on a 2000 accord 2dr 4cyl vtec. Replaced the head and all new gaskets. The head gasket that came in the kit was metal and after fully reassembling the head went to turn it over and no compression. Timing had been checked multiple times as well as spark, fuel, and air. The engine gets 1 blow back after resetting the timing but nothing after until timing reset again. Getting suspicion compression leak is coming from head gasket looking for opinions on using a silicone gasket instead in order to seal the head to the block.
