Description: AEMs shortram intake is very simple to install and clean. Emits a growling sound when gettin on the gas. Short ram is a little better for keeping some of the low end torque but power is also felt in the higher RPM range as well. Horespower increase is around 5.

I would recommend this to anyone who would like an aftermarket intake. I would not recommend it to those who are expecting alot of hp increase. However, since our Accords need all the help it can in the low range, the short ram doesnt shift as much power to the high RPM range as a CAI.

I purchased this product off of another v6p member on 9/2001. It was used slightly but when the filter came in it was damaged during shipping. I called AEM and they replaced it for free (thanks AEM). So in essence, I got a new intake since the tubing was in great condition. I got this instead of the cold air because of the ease of flooding in south Florida. It rains so much and my apt. complex floods easily.

My friend did the install since he did his car already and he didn't want to wait for me to do it and it took about 5 mins. Don't forget the washers so that the bolts don't get worn out or damaged.

I felt no gains on my butt but with dynoes from other members it's a proven power gainer. I needed it also so that I can install my Zex nitrous kit and drill the nitrous line into the intake. The nitrous line was welded by the shop that did my install for nitrous and there has been no structural damage. Unfortunately since I haven't cleaned it a lot the once shiny silver tube is now dirty grey. The filter easily bends inward but can be pushed out, although not to the flush dimensions as new. For the price you pay it's a good bang for the buck.

This intake would probably be the best bang for the buck. This intake would probably be for those who are afraid to get CAI's and submerge their filters and hydrolock their cars. Althought it's hard to hydrolock the car, it would still be safER... hehehe! Anyway, it gives a nice growling sound when you hit the gas and pass the VTEC engagement point. When you're light on the gas, it just sounds like stock with a slight hiss... It adds a bit HP and MPG so it's really a good deal. The filter is also reusable and you can recharge it.

own the older version of the AEM intake where the intake is in two pieces so I am able to use a short ram intake or a cold air intake. I've used both. The short ram intake is worth every penny. It gives you that loud roar at WOT. Makes your engine bay look better without that boxy look. The roar comes in at about 3500 rpm. It's louder than the cold air intake. The filter is easier to access than the cold air intake when cleaning is needed. This is what I use instead of the cold air intake. Two thumbs up!

Love it! I also got it for really cheap, since it was used.

I didn't see much of a point in getting a V2, since the power increase isn't really ALL that much. And it'll be a pain to change the filter

yeah so this lil intake makes my car sound like, according to my friend, an M5. I think it sounds like a muscle car - not ricey at ALL. mmm okay heres a story: so i raced my friend up a hill - he had a audi a4 and the first time b4 my intake he beat me by 1 car or so. now i got intake AND i got these 2 subs in the back with a huge effing box and i beat my friend by half a car. impressive eh?
