I've had the V2 for 5 months now and I'm still as enthusiastic about it as I was the first day.
This is the best intake for the 1998-2002 when it comes to performance gains. I noticed a nice increase in torque in the 2000-3000rpm range and an even nicer increase from 3500-5500rpm. Overall, the car feels much more responsive than it did stock.
The next best thing about this intake is the sound. It lets out a low-pitched growl at 2000rpm that slowly gets louder as you approach 3500rpm. When VTEC engages at 3500rpm, the growl gets much louder and higher-pitched. To be honest, it's quite breathtaking. What's great is how quiet this intake is in normal driving. At part-throttle it's barely louder than stock which is a very good thing IMO. There is a fairly loud humming sound at idle but it's almost inaudible inside the car. The radio or fan will drown it out completely.
The AEM V2 is a sweet-looking intake. I love the gunmetal color because it goes well with just about any color-scheme you may have in your engine bay. As much as I like gunmetal, I'd like to see more color choices for the V2. I think it would look badass in black and even better in polished silver.
I love my AEM V2 and I don't think there's a better CAI on the market.
