i received my shipment of tubes (they are for your computer but can be used for your footwell or whatever in your car) and i was wondering if anyone could give me some step by step instructions. SIN, another member on this board gave me some advice but maybe it's due to me being fairly new to all this, but i have no idea what to do. He mentioned something about how i need to get the wires and figure out the positive and negative and open up my dash or something...shoot any help?

thanks for your consistent help man...i felt bad always pming you so i just thought i'd post a thread to see if other people had some idea as well...anyway..

i can open up the dash with the instructions from that link but connecting the ccfl and making it all work is still rocket science to me.

so i was feeling a little bold and i used the link you gave me and attempted to install this....it works and everything, but couple things...

the wire for the tube is so short i needed to use two inverters ....one for each side (driver/passenger) and there really isn't a nice solid place to stick the tube onto...i'm going to get some velcro or something tomorrow.

I place the inverter in the middle, there is barley enough space for the tubes to stick out. I ziptie mines , I try using velcro but it just falls off when it gets hot

anyway

while i was pulling everything out of my car to install i messed up the door to the cd cabinet (the huge space right above the "not an ashtray) you have to push and it slides open but mine won't anymore...i think i mesesd up the spring....do you think i can bring this to honda and get it fixed under warranty?

Is there any other way to get the power for the LED? maybe from the interior light? So when you open/close door, the footwell light will come on/shut off with the interior light?

I did the same on a 2003 TL and all I had to do is splice two wires (positive and nagetive) that provide the power to the interior light.

Any comments? suggestion? I really want to put in the footwell light for my Accord. Thanks.
