So when I was at the Honda junkyard picking up my new motor, I saw a 2002 V6 coupe sitting there with a full black leather interior so of course I couldnt pass that up... especially for $400

Included leather seats all around, quarterpanel trim, new carpet, black dash, A pillars, B pillars etc, basically everything I needed minus sunvisors and interior door moldings.

I decided to spray the A pillars, B pillars, and the lower rocker molding door sil trim. I went with a textured black paint with specs of pearl in it. Also painted the stock tweeter covers since I dont use them anyways. Swap isnt quite done, but its getting there. Still need to take car of the headliner which im doing in urban digital camo and the air bag covers and clear the painted trim pieces and a few other odds and ends. Heres some pics so far...

Finished up my first piece of rewrapped interior along with the switch plate painted and clear coated. Doing the leather door inserts, headliner, and center console arm rest... material is a checkered leather vinyl and suede.

Wrapped the back pieces with hot glue to hold each of the portioned chunks down. Then we sealed everything down with a liquid epoxy then smoothed on a layer of polyurethane to harden the fabric to the headliner to ensure a nice tight bond. The headliner itself was sprayed down with 3M 90 Adhesive which is their strongest formula done in 1'x1' sections because of the very quick tackying qualities it has.

Sun shades were sealed shut so that the paint doesnt wear down, plus i dont use them much anyways.

I wonder that as well but I think it may have to do with the color schemes, and what they believe will sell. Perhaps car manufacturers believe that white and black clash too much, rather than white and tan?

Tan Recaros

I actually don't mind the tan interior with the right exterior. I agree though I don't know why certain cars don't come in white and black combinations. I know the more high end manufacturers do it and it looks so good. I have seen pics of tan recaros that come stock in I believe the euro accord R and they look good but are very rare.

That is one of the last things I need to complete the entire swap afterwards. But ill probably just do some harnesses since i have to buy them anyways.

Dam I need a Dark brown airbag some A-hole broke into the car and glass landed on the Dash and I guess he leaned all over the dash while he went through the glove because it has scuffs all over it. Crazy thing is its only on the f*in airbag. its 755 at the dealer your definitely lucky 400 for an interior.

Do you have pictures of everything installed? Looks good, I did that to my front pillar's cause of my gauge pods, but I'm really thinking of taking on this project.

Not quite done yet. Got a serious heat wave of 105+ when i had a bunch of time off. Of course as soon as it cools down i get busier with work and when i am free it rains lol. Ill have them up in a week or so.

That looks good. Wish I thought of this when I redid my interior.
Thanks man, alot of work, but so worth it.
