I know there has been some discussion about this a LONG time ago (yes I use the search bar lol) but I would like to revive the subject if only briefly.

These throttle controllers are becoming extremely hard to find! From what I've gathered, they were discontinued some years ago due mainly to the lack of sales for our particular models.

Does anyone have one of these... and not a sprint booster or a shadow throttle or a weapon R I-throttle... and actual Buddy Club E-Throttle... on their 03-07 Accord?

I found one... Somehow, some shop still has one its dusty and old but brand new, never been used and I'm dying to get that 100% throttle response because the lag on a modded K24 is ridiculous. I literally press...wait...wait....go.

Also, this isn't a WTB thread but i'm just throwing it out there if anyone has one they don't want

Well, to be honest, you're dumping money into nothing. the k24's potential in our car sucks. I mean, if you have the $$$ then you can boost it up to 450-500 on the stock motor and still be fine but judging by your other threads ( saying a fuel pressure gauge from inviblduck was pricey, i'm guessing you're not too loaded; no offense) you can't do much to make em faster. i mean, stage 1 skunk 2 cams/brian crower, sure. k-pro is another 1500-2000. but if you're trying to "mod" the k24, good luck. unless you have the tsx motor, or swap to a k20 head w/ k-pro, you won't get power. i have every bolt on for the motor. minus buddy club condensor and little gadgets such as this and a vtec controller. but i don't know what your path is so i can't really go on much further. I mean, i do have a turbo setup sitting next to me. wanna take it off my hands. haha

read it again I said they werent pricey. but make no mistake, i'm not loaded. Also, there is no vtech controller ... we dont have vtec we have i-vtec. also, there is no way to kpro without an ecu swap and that is a *****.

Is there any advantage to the E-throttle vs the Sprint Booster?

yes, it is much, much more adjustable.

it is a knob, versus a number of pre made settings. with the e throttle you can literally dial to precisely the amount of response you want. it adds no hp, simply improves throttle response. its a "fun" mod. makes it more fun to drive. nothing more.

you can also down grade throttle response quite a lot. for economy purposes. all in all, i think its a very useful thing. for 400 or so dollars it ought to be.

how can it speed up the throttle response?
or does it also control the throttle directly in addition to sending the forged pedal position to the ECU?

its a signal amplifier. if you press down 10% it sends a signal to the tb to open say 30%. so no lag

they've been discontinued for these cars for some time now so they're ridiculously hard to find unfortunately

^ Just step on the pedal harder? Doesn't that accomplish the same thing? There I just saved u 200 bucks.

So it's sorta like a very expensive eBay chip? From what I'm reading and understand anyways. I'm sure with some electrical know-how you could make one of these yourself with some sort of variable resistor or something...I don't know the exact name of what I'm thinking of (electrical is my bane) In my mind You would tie a "variable resistor or whatever" into the circuit between the pedal and the sensor on the TB running a wire into the dash with a dial that controls the voltage going to the sensor. If that makes any sense at all lol like I said electrical is my poison, but honestly it sounds like something that could be built for much cheaper with a little homework and know how.

^ I did a review on it once. Not this model but a similar one. It does make the car feel faster, but that only because using the same amount of pedal/throttle the TB opens up more. But when you put it in eco mode it makes the car feel like a slug.

^i believe i read your review. I know that its not the most cost effective thing and i know it adds no power... but neither does powdercoating your valve cover and I did that before! I just want one of these to play around with :( but no body seems to wanna sell me one

No matter how hard you step on the gas, the ECU controls how fast the throttle actually opens. That's why DBW throttle body cars can feel sluggish. What these devices do is actually speed up how fast the ECU allows the throttle to open and also to open up a bit more at part throttle to make the car easier to drive when you need to change lanes and accelerate.
