I never felt so exhuasted like i did just now.

I just ordered $800 of parts in 5 minutes for my 2000 Grand Am GT. Thats not including the $350 i spent earlier this month.

So i have a little to-do list while im house sitting this holiday season.

APOC CAI w/inverted cone
Ported and Painted Red UIM from APOC
60mm TB from APOC
SLP Cat-back

Wow... Im just glad im saving some money on labor by self installing all this. lol

Now why 60mm? I was being nice and took over an over of a Navy man who got called up. So i just paid for his order while getting some good parts.

And the shipping almost killed my budget lol. No more buying until next X-mas.

Ill take pics of everything when it arrives :D

FYI: APOC is a company who makes some parts for the GA and other 3400/3100 engines. They are also working on a twin-screw for the alero/grandam that should be out in the spring :D

Nice:) I wish I could afford to order $800 of parts in 5 minutes:( It looks like you're replacing the whole intake side of the engine:eek: What kind of gains are you looking at with those parts?

truthfully the most restrictive part of my engine is the exhuast manifold. So whenever i can afford headers and portmatching on the exhuast side the whole system will work better.

But you really cant port my engine out anymore on the intake side. This engine has been upgraded over the last 20 years. Started as a 2.8L to a 3.1L to the current 3.4L.

So im looking at about another 5 from the CAI and more hp at the upper end of the power band with the throttle body. And about 10 more from the cat back. The ported manifold is ported to match the TB so its really no gains there. I just had a deal on it.

whenever i get headers (maybe next xmas) that should give another 20-25hp right there on a stock engine and make the rest work better due to less constrictions.

And if im really lucky ill save up for a twin-screw in maybe 2 years. Thats gonna be expensive but the same price as any other S/C application atm

Oh and its not $800 in parts, a good bit was shipping. Its more like $650 in parts and the rest is insured shipping.

Well at least you've got your engine ready so that the headers are pretty much the only thing needed to release its NA potential:) Have you ever taken your car to the track? It would be interesting to see how much it has progressed since you started modding it.

nope never to the track. i had to repair my car several times from being hit on the interstate. Never my fault but a few hit n runs.

But a 15.5-15.7 is normal for a stock GAGT.

Whenever i get the headers im gonna get a valvejob done with the lower intake and heads to free up air for the headers. Just to make the whole thing work better.:D

yea they gotta make a cam first then ill get it.

Ill port when i get the headers and do it all at once.

Then again i might end up with a twin-screw s/c when its all said and done.
