At 298,300 miles, my center armrest was looking its age. I'd replaced the seats with newer ones a few years ago, forgot to grab the armrest. With new seats it looked even worse.
Turns out there is a seller on Amazon who sells new ones. Only took a couple days to get it too.
I found a video on youtube that shows how to remove the cover from the part where it slides forward. He suggested a flat piece of plastic. I had a plastic scrapper on hand, it worked. Only other tool needed is a phillips head screwdriver.
Slide it between the cover and base until it pops loose and the cover slides off. Cover slides back on easily, no tool needed. Total of 8 screws to remove the cover from what it is mounted to.
Two screws to reattach it to the console and done!
