Couple races last night, all from a rolling start (60-70 MPH).

1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo (10psi) vs. 2000 Honda Civic EX Turbo (10psi)

Run 1: Civic pulls on MR2 by 1 car length until approaching traffic.
Run 2: Civic and MR2 are neck and neck. Civic's clutch begins to slip.
Run 3: Civic and MR2 are neck and neck until both stopped due to a security guard trying to pull them over with his yellow lights. :p

2006 Subaru WRX STI (stock - 1060mi) vs. 2002 BMW M3 (Dinan Stage 3)

Run 1: M3 pulls ahead by 1.5 car lengths, then after 100MPH it goes bye-bye.
Run 2: STI and M3 are neck and neck until 110MPH, M3 flies by again. We got off the gas since we don't want to kill the brand-new STI yet.
Run 3: STI and M3 are neck and neck until 100MPH, M3 flies by again.

2006 Subaru WRX STI (stock - 1060mi) vs. 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo (10psi)

Run 1: STI pulls on MR2 slowly by 2 car lengths.
Run 2: STI walks on MR2 by 1.5 car lengths. (Better start this time).

2005 Honda S2000 (stock) vs. 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo (10psi)

Run 1: Didn't witness the race, but I heard the S2000 won.
Run 2: Ditto.

I was riding along in my friend's new STI, and boy that thing is quick. His first race was last night against that M3 (which the MR2 owner told us was "stock" :p). He was unsure whether to drop it into either 3rd or 4th since he's never "gunned it" in that car before. So he played it safe in 4th gear. I never really appreciated the braking power of the Brembos until I was in his car and we literally stopped from 125MPH to 80MPH in no time.

What a fun night. :D

haha i bet it was 400 and if it was he would just be keeping up with traffic
:ssh: No speeding on 400, especially with all the construction for the lane expansion. I heard tickets were $1,000+ for speeding.

I just bought him a Passport 8500 for his birthday, and he has a downpipe coming on the way. ;)
