I have a few questions...
1. I know to add a sub/amp to your stock headunit you can use the JL Audio Cleansweep. But will that work if you have Navi?

2. About how much would it cost to have a custom box made like this?:

3. My friend is selling me his Rockford Fosgate Punch 325.1 Amplifier for $50. Can someone explain some of the specs of this amp for me? Is it a good amp for wiring up a 8 or 10" subwoofer?
here's the link: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=18395
and here's a pic of the amp:

someone please help me cuz i'm a bigtime noob when it comes to audio systems...

Well are you going to be making this box yourself. If so it will only cost you around 50 dollars. Just get some resin and fiberglass mat at your local home depot.
Heres the box me and my friend made.

Go to the top shop in your area and ask to see some of their work. If you like the work negotiate a good deal, normally I would charge 300-400 for something like that. Fiberglass work tends to be a money loser the bigger the job, but this is small. Shop around.

I just made a half wood & half fiberglass for the first time reading stuff online and its definitely do-able if you have the patience and the tools. But I would have to say it would cost less than $100. I had an excellent resource in my friend who works part time for Car Toys installing stuff. He guided me through the entire process, giving me tips and what not. He sometime would insist on doing it himself, but I'm proud to say that I did everything by myself. My advice is to try to use much wood as you can, I'm so glad that I did. Less fiberglass = less pain in the butt. I don't have pictures of my box cause I still need to sand the bondo and put carpet on it. Now that I know, I can do more fiberglass projects on my own and help friends build theirs. Just read and do some research and put your mind to it, the box is yours.

Here are two excellent DIY on fiberglass that I used to build my box.
