Alrightttt

Product in question: DC Sports Ceramic Headers.

Flex Pipe is destroyed. It got ripped up so bad its leaking and hissing louder than my exhaust is. This seems to be just from normal use, nothing too insane and it wasn't scrapped on the ground.

Needless to say I'm a little peeved, since these were pricey and took a while to install.

I guess my options are as follows:

1. Replace the flex pipe by welding in a new one and just hoping it lasts longer than the DC one

2. Replacing the headers with new DC ones, maybe stainless this time

3. Buy different headers (?) What other options are there, the only ones I've seen are the Weapon R headers and those are over 500 bucks

I don't have the original exhaust manifold. Also, I don't want to put a Stiffy on there, because I've had them on other cars and still broken flex pipes. What do you guys think?

you have a j30 or k24? If J30 I would look at NVA-AV6 pcd/j pipe

he has a k24, that seems to be a comon problem with the DC headers it could be they just use a weak/cheap flex pipe so after a certain time it will just give out.

there arent that many off the self headers for a decent price, so welding a much stronger flex pipe could be the cheapest and best way of doing it instead of replacing it with yet another DC header.

i have a 2.5" SS heavy duty flex bellow (a much stronger flex pipe) that i was going to use for a custom exhaust set up that i never used, if you decidede to throw a stronger flex pipe in there PM and i will give u a good price on it.

ADI thanks for the offer, I just might take you up on it. I have a full custom exhaust I just built... 2.75 inch piping all the way from the header to the muffler, excellent welds. The breaks are for the magnaflow cat, a vibrant 18" bottle style resonator and, obviously the end-of-the-line Skunk2 muffler. It actually sounds great, unlike the oh so common civic lawnmower syndrome you get with big cans. I'm more sad that its not perfect now than I am mad about the DC part breaking.

Anyway I just wanna do a little more research into headers for the K24. I'll keep the offer in mind for sure.
