Are there any Honda techs out there in MD who would be willing to do some work on the side? I can pay in beer and/or cash. I specifically want to get the new lighted radio controls installed. I would do it, but with the airbag needing to be disconnected :) , I am not comfortable doing this on my own.

hey dre, my helix is FIXED WAHOO! got 1 hp now more haha, gas needle aint budgin, and im drivin the same, does save on gas from what i can tell going back from his house, driving to work, and the aem v2 is hot for the 4 cylinder. he did all my crap man, in a little over 3 hrs, he did my front rotors really quick, and he was telling me some of the shi* wrong from my car, i had a broken wheel stud, right when he took the wheel off on the side the wheel stud was broken, some nuts came off, and he said, its cuz they probably used a regular screwdriver, it doesnt hold the bolts that hold on/center the rotor, kinda scary... the guy does quality work, torques things to spec, has all the airtools u can imagine, and his garage looks like a fuc*in mechanic shop, all new tools. all he needs is a lift now. hes dropped on 2-3 turbos/supercharges on his previous cars, been in a 2-3 page magazine spread(import tuner), this man knows his crap, he recently put on a SC for a rsx-s with a 9 lb pulley, and running perfect several months. im sure he can do leds without blowing something, and he'll tell u straight up if he hasnt work on something b4, and does the research if he doesnt and sees if he can. hes worked on hundreds and hundreds of cars, u try to book him, u got to wait like 2-3 weeks to see him. ive had people/friend install shi* on my car, its all half as*, breakin more stuff on my car, this guys quick where ur scared hes missing anything, but hes like professional speed but with better quality, u aint waiting 6 hrs to do suspension, more like what it should be, 2-3 hrs. u can tell this guy really knows his honda/acuras. he doesnt miss a bolt/nut/screw, he teaches u while he installs, hell, guy knows his honda, he owned a crx, teg gsr, teg type r, tsx, and now a spec tl.

Airbags aren't THAT scary. Disconnect your positive and negative battery cables and let the car sit for about 10-15 minutes. This will drain the capacitors on the cars computer.

Then disconnect whatever airbags, controls, etc. you need to, put it all back before reconnecting the battery, and voila. Done. No Airbag lights, no possibility of airbag deploying.
