HI Can someone point me in the right direction?

My Sub/amp combo was acting weird lately with it cutting in and out

After a while I wasn't able to get any power out of the amp so replaced it with a similar model.

After hooking everything up, the new amp is getting power, however when connected to the sub, there is no sound?

Anybody have any ideas on how I should begin troubleshooting?
Remote is good as well as the power going in

The fuse appears fine also as another amp also shares the same power connection.

Can you advise on how to check for signals?
I'm trying to get a hold of a multimeter to verify voltage

I'm def getting power to the second amp and power from remote
I also switch out the power from my working amp to the sub amp and same thing

(no sound)

I'm wondering if I burnt out a VC on the Sub but not sure how to check.

Check the signal cable from your headunit/LOC to the amp, and then check the cable from the amp to the sub(s).

By check, I mean make sure it's physically plugged in and not cut in half, frayed, melted, shorted, etc. You don't necessarily need a multimeter for that.

If you want to check the VC on the subs, hook up a multimeter and put it in impedance mode (Ohms), one pin to each terminal on the subs, compare the impedance to the specs for the speaker.
