OK, so I searched and didn't find the answers I need. I want to change all the easy lights (plug n play, like the map, doors, trunk & dome) inside to blue leds and also want to do some blue neons or something for the footwells and trunk. Not tryin to rice it out, but just want a little something more.

The questions...
What are the light #s for the dome, map, trunk and door lights?

Also what are the best LEDs? There are a bunch of different type, but is there a real difference?

Where do you get and what are the best neons?

How do you wire a neon?

Is it possible to wire the neon to a switch that I can manually turn on and off? (most of what I read when i searched was about wiring to HL or something else)

And for the trunk how do you wire that to turn on with the trunk open?

Is this something that someone who has no idea where to start can do?

Any other advice?

Thanks a lot!

is this wut u wanna do?

if ye, lemme know and i'll tell u where to start.
also, as far as the license plate, i'd first look into it more since a lot of states require yellow/white bulbs only. Blue/red/green are reserved for public service vehichles such as fire trucks, ambulance and the infamouse popos. :rolleye2:
so ye, u cud easily get a ticket if a picky cop sees you with blue license plate lights but they're not hard to change to blue if u still wanna do that!

YES that is exactly what I wanna do! Minus the gages. So where do I start? I think I have a guy that will install it all for me for free, so I just need to know what to get. Thanks!

yupe, thas a good link there. :)
wen i wanted to get mine done though, that thread wasn't up, so i didn' know what LEDs to get, i got all of mine from ebay, came as a package for about $30 CAD. prolly got ripped off and cud've got them all for 10 but i liked them so much i was willing to even pay more at the time. lol
as far as the "neon" go, heres a copy of my reply to another member who also asked, i didn't change anything in the message so sorry if it doesn't make perfect sense.

yo, i saw ur thread and i wanted to know if u had a DIY for that mod? Also, do the neons come off and on with the door and map lights or are they on all the time???
the lights in the foot compartment are not neons. they are LED lights. there are 4 tubes, 2 under foot area and 2 under the seats.
honestly as far as installing them, i wanted to do it my self but learned that i needed to open up the wheel box to access behind the fuse box and power source coming into the cabin so changed my mind, i went to a performance shop, paid 60 andit took THEM about 3 hours to do. i then noticed that the $60 was well worth paying since it was not FUN to do anyway.
he wired everything properly through the body canals and put 2 keys under my seat. one is an on/off switch, the other is a mode switch which changes the patterns.
i personally don't recommend neons since they drain a lotta battery.
if u liked how bright these are, just get them, if you leave them on for a whole MONTH! no battery will be wasted and they will not burn out either.
lemme know if you need anything else and keep us up dated as to what you end up doing on the forum.
feel free to ask any questions more questions and good luck with the project, u'll REALLI like it. and also.. as far as RICEY issue, i was realli afraid of that but not at all now. its REALLY unique and classy. any1 who sees it in person says its really hot so i donno!
but the gauges are quite a challange to do . but again well worth it :D

Cool dude thanks! I wonder if there is a shop like that around me. I have a friend that will do it, but I'm not too sure of his quality and I dont want it getto rigged. So where do you get the LED tubes and what kind? Any extra wires? Do they come with switches?
Thanks again

If you go to www.superbrightleds.com, they have all of the led bulbs in different colors for all the interior lights on the accord. On their page, if you can navigate well, they have a cross reference that will tell the bulb sizes for the courtesy lights, dome, map, and trunk lights. The sizes for the map lights and dome light is DE3175. The courtesy lights and trunk light is 168. The leds are easy to install and look great afterwards. Sorry I can't help you with the neon lighting, but you can find neons at www.streetglow.com

bttt. Has anyone here had personal experience with cold cathodes (specifically white ones)? I'm wondering how their output compares with LEDs, neons, and incandescant.

The reason why I like the LED better than anything is the durability, they last almost forever plus they consume less power.

Shon, cold cathodes are supposedly pretty sturdy as well, and they use a minimal amount of current. Do you ahve any experience with them? I'm referring to the kind that some computer modders use to light up their cases.

I had blue color ones under the dash but change them to uv blacklight, cause the blue ones were to bright at night.

So I move the blue to the trunk.

I try led blue and blacklight and kept the blacklight for the rear passenger area. the leds are not as bright but they are more durable and have different functions. I got my lights from this place http://www.svc.com/lighting.html
