I have 2 layers of %5 tint on my back windows. At first I only had 1 layer of 5% tint on the back windows but still found it too light during the day time atleast. i found people could still see into my car relatively well and if they put their face up to the glass could see what i had in my car.

So I added a 2nd layer of 5 % tint of my rear windshield and the 2 tiny windows, now even during the day time with your face against the glass you cannnot see anything in the back of my car and at night time even if you take a flashlight and shine it in and than put your face to it it is still almost impossible to see into. I really like, as I can keep all my junk in the back without worrying about people seeing it, I can even throw my garmin gps back there in plain view int he back seat and you cann not see it at all. Even at night time with the lights inside the car(ie map lights, dome light, dash light) are on you can hardly even notice that they are on at all unless you really really loook, my radar detector placed up high and that hyou cann't see at all either at night,

only problem is that it is really hard to see out of especially at night time, but now that i'm used to it it is not really a big deal at all.

my front sides are 30%,

does anybody else have double limo tint here?

thats true, no matter how good of a driver you are-- not being able to see out a window is rediculous.. and not very smart. i had limo tint on my old volvo and it was nearly imPOSSIBLE to parallel park..at night.. and forget it if you have to squeeze in, better look elsewhere. I'd say if your having problems with your car getting broken into, park somewhere else. theres always somewhere else.

I'm new to this forum! I put legal on the front which was 28% in MS (wasn't dark enough). So i then put 7% on all but the front window. That still wasnt dark enough so i put another layer of 7% on the doors ha. It was dark as freak at night but awesome during the day!! I did just recently remove it due to it getting old having to always roll down the windows to see something that was a good ways away. My advice is if you can't drive as it is, stick to like 20% ha. Mine came out to be almost 0% and i wouldn't advise it ha. Although it was awesome not being able to see in at all!!

after those cops got shot, tints became super illegal here in nyc; especially if you in a bad neighborhood. i got 15% and get pulled over every month or so but good thing i got some PBA cards from some cop friends i know so they let always let me go. really no such thing as a fix it ticket here and if they wanted to, they can even give you a ticket for each window that rolls down and are less than 75%($115x4 adds up:))

I just did what is legal in Texas. I like to see at night and don't like giving cops an excuse to stop me. 30% sides, 20% rear, 70% windshield. IR ceramic tint so definitely keeps the car cooler in the summer.

My Chevelle had really dark tint back in the 80s when they didn't really have any specific laws about it. Seeing out of it at night was a challenge, especially in Arizona in areas with minimal lighting. Didn't want to go back to that.

I personally like being able to see out my windows especially at night.

I’ve rented a limo a few times for events, and the tint was always super dark—probably close to double limo tint like yours. It really adds that sleek, private feel. I’ve also seen some rides with lighter factory tint, but nothing beats the full blackout look when you want total privacy.
