It depends. Mostly stock, sure. But if you're making more power towards the redline than stock but it's shifting at 6200 rpm automatically, manually shifting to take advantage of the additional power helps. Plus manual shifts using full line pressure so the shift is firmer. Not sure if there is a way to change the automatic shift points.
