Lowering

I have a 07 TL type s. I live in nyc aka pothole city. I want to close the wheel gap just by a little bit. Maybe drop half an inch to 3 quarter max all around. Is there a way to lower without losing ride quality. I was thinking Koni yellows on their lower perch with stock springs?
