What should i use to remove paint thats on polyurathane that won't damage the plastic? I don't have time to sand, and don't want to risk melting the plastic using a sander, i heard some paint remover would work. But it should keep the surface smooth.

try rubbing alcohol first if that doesnt work try terpentine..i'd stay away from chemical stripper unless it says safe for plastic

turpentine and isopropyl alcohol arent chemical strippers ??

you can use acetone or MEK to loosen up the paint a little without deforming the plastic, just dont let them sit on there too long.
if you're lucky, the edges will peel up, and you can just pull the paint off (depending on the quality of the previous paint job obviously)
