Pretty interesting, I guess I'm not the only one with missing plastic covers on there ignition coils

I wonder how much the 3.0L weighs probably the same but then how big is the difference between the auto and manual? I've heard anywhere from 60-100lbs

 

manuals are 90 pounds lighter than the auto ive seen on a offical honda website

I took the covers off.

The manual transmission will be much lighter.

The J32 is alot heavier, i forgot how much though thats the weight difference between CL & Accord.

I wasnt aware engines could move under their own power, sure they can spin themselves in place at almost 7000rpm but how is that impressive for a person to run in place

Crank pistons and rods are the differences, that cannot be a large difference from .2L in displacement.

 

Off topic, but wanting to chime in. I also took of my Plenum Covers (what the Honda tech called them when I took it in for maintenance). Dead weight (not much, I know) and better ventilation for the engine heat to escape.

Yeah I doubt theres a big difference between the 3.2 and 3.0 theres a much bigger difference between the manual and auto which Im looking foward too

 

The coil pack/ plenumcovers are suppose to cover some the wire harness ,throttle cables, and yeah they can hold up a bit of hot air.

$400 1lb -/+ accuracy crane scale.

 

He said you are missing pieces, doesn't matter how precise your scale is if you forgot to tie everything to the rope

 

To begin with the first damn post says there are certain things not on there.

You want to know the weight of other things go do that your self.

ENGINE WEIGHT it says, not complete engine, I dont care for oem parts being on there as I'm not going to even use the cast manifolds on there.

fyi, my 5AT tranny off my j32 coming back from dr. evil was 166 lb including torque converter.
