I was wonderin if someone could show me a thread that tells you how to take the stock radio out in a 2003 honda accord coupe non-navi..i could not find one in search and i think there probobly is one...
ya thanks.. i searched cardomain and found it like a minute after i posted lol.... but i have another question... it is about the radio but i could not figure it out when i took out the radio... my screen for the radio has completely dimmed where you can barely see it in the day and cant see it at all at night.. i dont know what is the cause of this problem.. i thought it could be a loose wire but there were just two wiring harnesses and they were both tight... any other sugestions????
lol nah that was the first thing i checked its not that.. only the radio is dimmed and it wont come back no matter what.. i tried turnin the lights on..dimmer off .. on .. middle.. i trouble shooted everything.. its just frustrating cause i just got this car.. all the wiring is snug.. its really a pain at night to.. its like a guessing game haha.. are the air controls ( i have the dual zone climate) suppose to light up?? i just thought about that cause they didnt either... nothing on the radio piece all together is lit up.. any other suggestions.. im really worried this is going to cost me lots of $$ .. =( .. thanks
oh, u should bring it to the dealer.. there has been a LOT of cases similar to yours where the radio display is either not on or very dim.... my sisters coupe had the same prob, they replaced it the same day. if you search a little on v6p, you'll find a whole bunch of info on this.
ya.. i didnt have a warranty or anything... so at first they tried to get me to pay 694 dollars!!!! and i was like well i can just put a aftermarket radio in for 500 dollars less.. and then he went and looked and was like ok ill only rip you off for 110 bucks... well he didnt say that but thats wat it sounded like to me lol
Yea there is a service bulletin about this on all 03 Accords you just have to take it to the dealer and have them order a new on, if you are still under factory warranty you will be lucky unless the dealership replaces it under good will!
