The best wheel tire set up?

I know people do it, but I just don't think a 225 stretched onto a 9.5" rear with a low offset and lots of camber is a good DD set-up.

It is very unforgiving in terms of ride (uncomfortable AND easily bent/curbed rims) and then theres the whole stretched/neg camber handling issues (which not everyone agrees is worse, but it is different).

For some folks these aren't issues at all, but certainly things I'd keep in mind before you drop $2k+.
For a DD I still like Blackhawks 18x9 +45 with 265/35/18. Plenty of meat for traction, and still looks very aggressive.

As for as ride quality, my "stretched" setup of Falken ST115 225/35s on Work 19x8.5s/19x9s is extremely comfortable. Maybe it's my APEXi WS coilovers that help make the ride comfortable while being low, but the OP has Teins so his shouldn't be much different.

I agree that the OP should do enough research to know what he's getting himself into, but if there's a certain look he's wanting there's only a minimal amount of options he has. Work Meisters need a decent width & offset in order to look right due to their spoke design (they're made for the aggressive look in my eyes).
Haha, we'll agree to disagree on that one. I personally don't find a stretched 225/35 on a 9" to be too comfortable for my 45 minute, pot hole ridden commute, but maybe I am just too old...

I was actually referring to lilphotoman's setup in particular, with my comments and his is a 225 stretched on a 9.5. I will never doubt that it looks cool, it just wouldn't be my 1st choice for a DD, (but you are right about the meisters, they do need to be wide/low offset.)

IMHO the best looking offsets that don't too much stretch or too much fender work, are:
18x8 +30 (Milan's 350Z wheels)
18x8.5 +37
18x9 +40 (stretched)
18x9 +45

You could push it a little bit further for a more aggressive look, but i think these have a pretty nice balance.
