I have just noticed that the drop of my car is uneven after I had installed my Sway Bar. Any of you know what is going on or how to fix it? Thanks.

are they height adjustable, if so check the heights first

if they are just springs and are new they may need to settle

try loosening the sway bar bolts, not all the way, with the car on the ground and re tightening them

Was it the front or rear sway bar that you put in?

Thanks dt350, I will do as you suggested. They are not height adjustable (HFP). Before the Sway Bar installation, I remember it was pretty even. I have installed my sway bar for like a month already and it is still uneven.

mog, it is the rear sway bar.

Yeah the sway bars have absolutly nothing to do with ride height, so it's real strange. How uneven is the car?

is the ground even you are measuring on? the sways dont affect the ride height...1/2-3/4 inch difference is a lot

I did it myself..... I will loosen it a bit and put the car on the ground and tighten it then. We'll see what happen.

my car is a little uneven in the rear as well. Looking directly at the rear of my car it looks like the right side is higher than the left side when the wheel gap in the rear is the exact same on both sides. The only way I can get my car to look level from the back is lowering the right side more than the left (1 finger gap in rear left and no gap in rear right). I got tein ss coilvers installed after I put on the TL rear sway bar. I put the TL sway on while my car was parked in an inclined parking lot. Looking at the back of my car the incline went down on the left side....so maybe the sways have something to do with it....

My car is uneven too....1/4" lower on the driver side front. I only noticed after i put in the front sway bar while trying to diagnose an alignment problem. Had HFP and comptech rear sway prior. Never fixed...looking for answers too

well the reason why i ask for pics is so that

1) i can see the uneven drop
2) you should take pics of the the struts
3) you should take pics of the sway bar installed at the end links
4) a pic of the overall sway bar

maybe that way some of us will be better suited to help you out.

your gallery doesnt ahve any of those

wait a minute, you measured the gaps, they're all the same, but when you look at the car, its uneven? maybe you're bumpers on crooked or something? your swaybar shouldnt make your car tilted. i dont even know how that would happen, unless the bar was bent or something

I measured the gaps; the right side is like 1 finger and 1/2 and the left side is 1 finger. I will try to adjust the bar toward the right a bit and we'll see what happen.

OK, well, after I had a run-in wityh a deer and got my car back the whole driver's side is a good 0.5" lower than the passenger's side, and it even scraps in turns, etc. NOT good. Long story short - there was uni-body damage that was fixed duringthe repair, I blame it on this - i tried bringing that to the repair place - got nowhere. I have Sprint Springs with Koni Yellows. I may just get some Tien coil-overs to fix the ride height problem, and have it weight-balanced with me in it ---- but as I'm graduating tomorrow ... I'm hopeing to get enough $ to just trade in my ride + $$ to get an Audi allroad (They can be chipped to 320 HP, 380 ft/lb!) ... Anywho - I'm prob going to buy some ghetto spring spacers to fix the problem for now.

PS - the best way to see the problem with exact measurments is measure from teh sheel CENTER to the highest point of the fenderwell.

Also - my problem *COULD* be sagging springs, but it's unlikely for me, because this all started the secondd I got my car back from repairs after hitting the deer. They did an allignment, but that just means the tires are facing straight (toe, camber, caster) doesn't mean the body on TOP of the sheels is even.
