205/60/16[/B] stock crap tires rotate @ 813 rpm (revs per mile)

205/50/17 - 833 rpm (too fast)
215/50/17 - 818 rpm (perfect)
225/45/17 - 833 rpm (too fast)
235/45/17 - 820 rpm (nice for traction but need 17x7.5 or 17x8 rims)

When racing from dig with too fast rotation than stock you might hit rev limiter prematurely. Staying close to stock rotation is the goal as I was told.

another thing to consider is that wider tires cause more rolling resistance and do weight more. Thats the trade off w/ having more grip. It might affect gas milage but i haven't noticed a difference.

I have 225/45R17s but lately I've been thinkin about replacin them with 215/50R17s so I can get the mileage/spedo as accurate as possible and have a little more comfort.
