I'm going to try and build a stand-alone engine management system for my AV6
(a MegaSquirt system), and would like to build a harness "splitter", so that I can divert some wires to the new ECU, and some to the old PCM. My idea is to gut an existing (but broken or super cheap) PCM, and then solder the appropriate wires to go to the ECU to one harness, and the wires to go to the old PCM on another harness with a factory plug (assuming I can find one of those). If anyone has these parts, and want to donate it (I could pay a small amount + shipping) to a project, I'd be really grateful. The idea with this is hopefully i can run the factory wiring harness without having to splice into it.

As a related question, does anyone know if the plug socket connector on a '99 4Cyl PCM will fit the harness from a '00 AV6? I haven't rumaged in my own vehicle yet (its too frickin' cold outside!) to look at the plug and count pins/layout, so I'm not sure yet what the configuration actually is.
