I have 7.5" wide, 18" kazeras with 48mm offset on my AV6. I have about a 2.75" drop all the way around, on Megan Full Coilovers. You don't want to go below a 45mm offset on your wheels........38mm is way low and you will probably rub. Plus, the 8 inch width might be a problem in itself, but combined with that low offset, I'd say you're asking for trouble.

Is there anyway you can try a test fit before you buy?

by the way, I'm not an expert, I'm just speaking from experience on my car. ;-)

hey thanks for replying. To be exact it is 235/45-17 93W BRIDGESTONE 17X8.0 ALLOY +45mm i guess the 38 was the wrong offset, but 8 inches wide? what you think?

Honestly, I think you'd be fine with that setup. 8 inch wide, 18 inch diameter might be a problem, but you're talking about 17 inch diameter......I say go for it.

I have both a 04 TL and 02 V6 Accord coupe. I have swapped the rims onto my accord to see if they would fit. Yeah they do but because of the offset on the TL rims, they stick out of the fender approximately 2 1/2 inches and they looked like steam rollers. You would be better off buying some more affordable aftermarket rims such as Volks, by the time you pay for the TL rims.

Actually, a set of TL rims with tires on eBay isn't really that expensive... runs you about $500+ with tires.

well, according to my friend who happens to be an alignment specialist for one of the big dealers in town, our cars are really good about being lowered. He said that if you don't lower it much more than about 2 inches, you don't have to worry about a camber kit.

Disagree. I am dropped on Pro-Kits. Prior to my Ingalls rear kit when I take a corner over bumpy roads, my tail would break loose because of the smaller contact patch I had due to my negative camber (-1.7 both sides). Now that they are zeroed out, that turn I take daily is much more steady for my car to take, and my back end doesn't break loose anymore.

Really? ok, thanks for the info.......I'll look into getting a good price on a rear camber kit then. Are the Ingalls pretty cheap? I can see looking down the side of my car, that the rear wheels have visible neg camber.

So a front camber kit isn't usually necessary though huh?

i think that is just over the edge of what you can run....you would need to run some bad negative camber, remove front wheel well liners, roll rear fenders....and even then....it would still rub in the front on hard corners when the wheels are turned...
