will a 40mm offset rub with 1.5 drop on prokits?

and if you had a choice of tires betwee (look below), which would u pick, and why?

(225/40/18)
vs.
(215/35/18)

the rims I am getting are RH z5000

You know there is a 215/40/18, that would be better compared to the 215/35/18. And to answer your question, it might rub, depending on who/what is on the car. Suggested offset should be around 45mm or more. 42mm might or might not rub, but 40mm is kinda on the border line. And the wheel is 18x7.5 I assume. If you have a 45mm offset, get 225/40/18..its wider and thicker sidewall = more comfort! haha.

hope this helps.. :D

yea i have the RH c5's with 225/40/18 and mines rub in the back..only when i hit a hard bump or dip and when theres more then 2 people in the back. But i'm dropped 2 inches, urs might not rub...but when u have a packed car then i think it might rub.

it will be close, just roll your back fender or cut the plastic out, but i have a 45mm offset on a 1.5" drop and i only scrape when there is people sitting in the back and i hit a bump, besides that i have no problems whatsoever

I know one guy who had 17x7 rims with +38mm offset and 215/45/17 tires, it would rub in back when he was going over bump with people in back seat.

With 18x7.5, +42mm offset, 225/40/18 tire you might get same thing.

Comparing to that guy you moved rims 4mm inside with +42mm offset, but you move edge of rim 6.35mm out with 7.5" width of rim, so basically your rim will be 2.35mm further out than a guy that I was talking earlier.

hi, on my 02 V6 coupe, i just installed 215/50/17 tires on 17x7 rims with +40 (offset) with a 1.5 " drop, and my tires rub both front and rear when i go over bumps and when i corner hard. now i have to look for a body shop to roll my fenders lips in the rear. i'm not sure what i can do in the front, since it has that plastic inner fender thing... any suggestions? thnx
