I am working on a project to install a 2010 Accord V6 in a 1975 Triumph Spitfire. Having a difficult time finding good information on what inputs and outputs are "must have" for the stock ECU to work. I have a working fuel pump circuit and starting circuit, but my electronic throttle and fuel injectors do not seem to be working. All the wiring seems to be there, but it is like ECU is not sending signal. I have the chipped key, but immobilizer circuit is no longer part of the harness. If anyone can help in any way identify minimum inputs to ECU, any inputs that might prevent proper function, or any other information that might be useful it would be greatly appreciated. Would a standalone ECU simplify things? Motor and tranny are currently on eBay, I have been beating my head long enough, either help arrives or project dies! Thanks in advance.

hhmm, might be a longshot on this answer my friend. 6th gens are my knowledge base, not 8th gens..

That year of engine and ECU combination is probably looking for signals and/or data from other systems in order for the ECU to throw spark and fuel; ie: ABS, Anti Theft, Engine Cylinder Management Controller(?), etc. Which ones exactly, dunno.

So, if you don't have the necessary systems sending those signals/data to the ECU, it may never run.

Not sure if the standalone would work due to the Engine Cylinder Management.

If you want a V6 in that Triumph, use a J32A2 (01-03 Acura CL-s or TL-s) or a J35A3/A4 (02 Acura MDX/02-04 Honda Odyssey respectively). Those engines are Cable Throttle body and simple as hell. Should be much easier to get the wiring done on those engines. You will want everything, engine, tranny, ECU, engine harness...
