The new J35 used in the Acura RL produces 290 hp (224 kW) at 6200 rpm and 256 ft·lbf (347 N·m) at 5000 rpm. This engine was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2005 and 2008.

Anyone thought of using this in one of our cars?Hopefully a coupe?

lol reading owns you. Do some searches on the J35. If Im not mistaken you can just swap the bottom end because we have the same blocks or at least the same bore size. Seriously though Paul prolly have like 5 threads in the last couple months about this engine. If for some reason this is a different J35 then people have been using then Im just dumb lol

LOL.... Stop beating the dead horse... BD, your gonna hear it from everyone, don't take it personal, but search is your FRIEND... NVA-AV6 and several of the other more senior members of the forum have done J32, J33, J35, J36 and even J37 builds (some more frankenstein than others) on the accord... and your prices are gonna range from a couple thousand ($2k) up to a few thousand ($6-7k) to get one of these transplants, or builds done. Just go to the members list, search for NVA-AV6 and you'll find quite a few threads he's posted on these exact builds, with cost, time and pictures... I'm personally going to get a J33 build from him come September or October, as have several other members on this forum. Hes the go to guy when it comes to this stuff, a god amongst men (when it comes to this line of cars)

Thanks

I am currently in the process of speaking with him(NVA) to get help on doing the tranny swap and since I am gonna have it out see what I can do for either engine mode or replacements...dunno (I just put da motor in a 2 months ago....)I hope everyone has fun at my noobness when I ask these overasked questions. I am just trying to see what I can get a hold of locally that I could use when I tranny swap. If not I will use my current engine and try to change intake manifold and tb if possible.I am new to the accord performance...so I only ask to prevent myself from spending more wasted money. (ie the auto trannies..)
One day I hope to be driving a HELLacious Accordz....

There's nothing wrong with asking questions bud. It's relevant to your future plans and will bring you more security and safety on your upcoming projects.

You're in good hands, I trust Paul's experience/expertise and I'm on the otherside of the country. :)
