What kind of power would the following parts yield, and what kind of 1/4 mile would they be good for in a 7th gen Accord coupe (~3050lb)?

K24A4/8 block + head
08+ TSX pistons (11:1 CR correct?)- $200
04ish TSX IM - $150
Generic CAI/RH/2.5" exhaust - $400

Would a 45 degree intake cam gear help to make more power?
How aggressive of a cam can one go to on a daily driver?
Anyone know if the V6 coupes handle significantly worse than the 4 bangers?
Is K-Pro available for the 7th gen Accord (i.e. through using the EP3 K-Pro setup)

Thx

Why dont you get a k24a2 *tsx head* or a k20a or k20a2 head *RSX*

They have true vtec system on both the intake and exhaust side.

Your wasting your time with high compression piston with a retarded head.

The V6 6mt coupe handles better then the i4 because it has the front strut bar.

If you got the money and time to do all that, go for it. I know a couple guys that have done the k20/k24 frank in the accord, and the tuning alone, is a pain. More so because they wanted kpro over AEM FIC and emanage. But either that, or better off getting the k24 tsx motor. i'm sure you can find the block and head for a good deal.

Ha, yeah. with forced induction. but that's with internal mods and pretty much a built motor. Yes, the K series can hold up to massive amounts of boost/power ( i've seen a stock k24 boost up to 28 lbs and produce over 500 hp on a stock motor) but the accord motor is not really meant for power. If you have the $$, then by all means go for it. I have every bolt on for the k24 and it's still slow. haah.

There is a way to use KPro on the Accords, but you'd have to read up on it. Honestly, you can make the K24 Accord really quick with the right mods/tuning. If you want to get crazy and swap the RSX/TSX 6MT tranny in, that's when the fun would really start. There are some all motor RSX's in the 12s so it's a great motor. With the Accord being only 200lbs heavier, it can perform very similarly (in a straight line).

K24aCCord: Fastest all motor 7G? What do you have? Any track times?

my accord is N/A with mild internal work (still oem) and bolt-ons and i have 280hp 210lbs. ft.. in reality my k24a8 is faster than a stock v6 or a v6 with bolt-ons. based on the all motor numbers i've seen on this website so far. the 4 cylinder motors are capable of these numbers and more if built correctly is what i'm saying.

If you are going to make a claim that is so far out there, it would be better to bring some proof.

P.S. I can only assume that an A8 head w/ porting would produce similar #s w/ the same mods.

you have any proof of those numbers? cause i can tell you it takes a lot of work to get even 250 to the wheels on a k20. and you saying you have 280 ( i'm assuming to the wheels? or are you meaning crank, meaning maybe around 240-250 to the wheels)to the wheels? and you tuned it with...aem fic? emanage? so you acheieved well over 100 horsepower over stock? JUST ON " oem" bolt ons and internals? proof..

I gotta see numbers, but really in all honesty track times are the best. U can say u have that much power but do u know how to use it right on the track that is the true test.

Even if u are making that much power u wont be doing that for long...... U best be careful that is alot of strain on a 4 cylinder with oem internals.

i think the guy is full of ish. cause if he's the so called fastest n/a accord, i'm pretty it would be all over the forum. 280 on a k24 with oem internals.. HA. my friend with a k20 type r head and k24 built bottom block made 243 to the wheels and this dude has 280? HA

Numbers can lie too, believe me that is why different dyno places produce different hp results. Just saying dont put too much faith in numbers.

so, k24accord SiR...you're planning to swap a j37 in your accord!? but you're the fastest N/A accord already. with that much power made by a k24 tuned on kpro...that's pretty impressive. i wanna see 1/4 mile times with your k, before you do the jswap.

#22 ·
the actual 3.7 swap is a wrap, the heads from the 3.0-3.5 motors don't match so i'm just gonna build the 3.5 type-s motor and match the specs to the 3.7. but first i'm gonna finish the k. there just aren't enough options as far as j-series tuning is concerned so i wanna wait...don't wanna run into the same problems that i did getting the k to work properly.

Nah right now he is not the fastest n/a accord, nighthawk is with his 3.5 tl-s swap making 330 whp and 280 lbs of torque. And im not to far behind with 308whp and 270lbs torque. Again numbers mean squat.

those are beautiful numbers for v6's but i'm pushin a 4 banger...i hold the card for the 4's and nighthawk has the second fastest all-motor v6. the top place honor goes to "kiet" and crew at PROJECT IMPORT in Anaheim, Ca. they have a 3.5 type-s all motor doing 330whp 290lbs ft.
