When the last time you did a oil change?

 

That would be cylinder misfires. This can be caused by many things like bad gas, a bad coild pack/plug, a weak crank sensor.

 

So is this something i should be worried about? only happens once in a while not all the time.

 

in my opinion, a blinkin check engine light is something you should get checked out. go to your local autozone and have them tell you what the check engine light is for

 

If the CEL blinks - get it fixed ASAP. If it just stays on, then it is more likely emission related.

Your blinking light at WOT should be seen to soon.

 

misfires. do seafoam/spark plugs and see if that takes care of it.

 

i have the same problem. Apparently this is a common problem with our cars. I've been told its a bad CKPS. I pulled the codes and got a Random multiple cyl misfire

what the f does this have to do with the thread?

 

well, i just washed my car today, and the light stayed on for about 30 minutes worth of driving, but right before i pulled into autozone, it shut off, so i didnt know if they could still read a code on it.

does anyone know if they can still read it without the light on, or know why it might come on right after a car wash?

 

Misfiring in all 6 cylinders

I'm having the same problem...only thing is my check engine light has been on for weeks now and just started blinking yesterday. All cylinders are misfiring and the its running too rich. Excuse me if i'm using the wrong terms or language. I hope its nothing too serious. I want to fix it before it becomes a major problem.



Please give me advice any of you may have. I appreciate it very much.

If your CEL is blinking you should stop driving it and fix it ASAP.

 

lol Well he said that the light shows up while he was trying to keep up with them so its semi legit.. lol but back to topic. how many miles do you have? Change spark plug time?

 

A couple weeks ago, my dad's friend scanned it and came up with codes stating misfire in all cylinders and running too rich. Yesterday, I brought the car to my mechanic yesterday. He got the same readings, cleared the codes, and then the codes showed up again right after. He told me he has to run more test, but thinks its the maf sensor or crankshaft sensor.

The car has 81k, and I bought it at 29k.

Im just trying to get ideas of what it might be and if it will be costly to fix.

 

Yea..its in the shop now. The light was on & off, but I understand I should have dealt with it as soon as it went on.

 

it could be many things but i would agree that it would most likely be a misfire. i would get it checked out for sure could be something bad.
