Spark Plugs confusion - 3.0L V6

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to purchase spark plugs for my 3.0L V6 but I don't know if i'm buying the correct plugs. I want to get the best spark plugs there are for my car and have done some researching from driveaccord.net and v6performance.net. I'm getting mixed answers like going OEM, Denso, NGK, or Bosch iridiums.

I'm leaning towards NGK iridiums because if I recall correctly OEM plugs are NGKs, but I don't know if I should buy the OEM plugs or NGK plugs from amazon.com.

I am currently looking at these NGK plugs that fit my 3.0L V6 accord to amazon.com:

NGK (6994) IZFR6K-11 Iridium Spark Plug - $13.12 a piece.

Are those the right ones to get, or should I just go to Honda and purchase OEM plugs?

shiat I have no idea what to do or what to buy.... HELP! :banghead:

yea autozone is cheaper than stealership for the EXACT same item.
yea its 6994, the 4 cylinder models use the same spark plugs.

when i bought the spark plugs from autozone to replace mine, I took my oem ones out and saw that its literally the same thing, with an NGK label on the oem spark plugs.

My OEM plugs are NGK. My build date was 11/02.

I just replaced My plugs @ 96K. I used the NGK as listed in the owners manual.
WOW what a difference. Much smoother and the low end torque is very noticable.
Everyone, please dont wait until the recomended mileage. I am sure the plugs will last, but at a performance loss. My old plugs looked pretty good, right color and no severe eroding. However it has been a great move on my part to replace them. I dont know at what mileage they need to be replaced but with my driving style (spirited if not very aggresive) dont wait as long as I did.

So I replaced my plugs (it's been a while lol) and man do you feel a difference. Even at 60K driving the car was a day and night experience when comparing the effects of the new plugs.

Acceleration is very smooth, and the pedal feels very sensitive and attentive to your foot pressure. It almost seems as though the car gained power... it simply feels revitalized.

Everybody who hasn't changed their plugs since the day they drove the car out of the New Car Dealers please change em when you hit around 50k miles. You won't regret spending the money on the new plugs, highly recommended.
