Vibration/shaking when accelerating from 45-55 or so

Read through the threads when I did a search, most seemed to be 6 speed cars with the issues, I have a 5AT. Seemed to not be a consensus what the problem is.

When I accelerate (more pronounced if I get on it) through the 45-55 or so range, my car shakes. Tip in from a roll will do the same in that speed range, more noticeable going uphill. Under or over, no real issues.

1. LCA bushing are new, they were replaced about 8 weeks ago, car was aligned too.

2. Tires have now been balanced twice-no visible issues with the tires, rims are straight.

3. Replaced the front motor mount (again but this time under warranty) and 3 of the transmission mounts today. Rest of the mounts are good.

4. Suspension inspection showed nothing out of the ordinary.

5. Boots on both axles are intact, no noise from either.

Not sure what to check next.

My car is doing the same right now when I accelerate at low speeds. My cv boots and axles look perfectly fine but I know one of them is bad. The bad thing is there is no way to tell if it is the left or right axle. That's why I always recommend replacing both. Just make sure you get new oem or very high quality new aftermarket axles. I've had nightmare comebacks with Oreilly reman. axles.

Mine had nothing visually wrong with them and no noise when turning, however were sloppy when you pulled on them and were like slinkies when they came off. A pair of new ones from advance auto (what I could swing at the time) was around $70 last Christmas. So far so good. Tho not the best, they do have lifetime warranty

Advanced auto has **NEW** axles for cheap. The re-maned ones will have the same issue as they do not check for that.

Use code TRT30 for 30% off your order

I was quote $541 for two new axles and labor. Don't have the tools I need to do the job.

Going in tomorrow...and maybe soon after that for a transmission, got a nasty flare when my car downshifted to 2nd to get around slower traffic at around 50 mph. At 157k miles, pretty typical for any automatic to develop problems. TH350 in my Cutlass died with just 115k on it. For now, I'll manually downshift, should buy me some time.

Total price was $555 for NEW axles and labor...plus a free oil change. They had to remove my oil filter to access the passenger side axle, meant to just put a new one on, forgot. Started the car, oil went everywhere, turned it off immediately and said "guess we owe you oil and a new filter".

Then my transmission went out. :(

That sucks. I haven't change the transmission fluid, I guess I will be doing that soon. Mileage ~74k.

My car pulls to the right after hitting the curve and damaging both wheels on the passenger side. So far I've gotten new wheels, Tires, Skunk2 front camber kit, Ingall Rear control arms, and alignment. And it still pulls to the left. I guess it might be the axle.

LCA's, front motor mount and three transmissions mounts were replaced already. Anyway, the axles seemed to solve the problem, and now with the rebuilt transmission too, everything is very smooth again.

both front axle... AS in left and right front.

In your case it could be a wheel bearing if its all speed or your tires are out of balance. Could be anything really since we are not physically there to diagnosis
