These sandrail pictures are A+!

Where do you get the tranny from?????
There are a wide range of trannies we use.
I have a mendeola 2d ready to bolt up but have a 002 VW bus box in it now.
People use VW 091's the most. They make adapters for just about any motor. All the transmissions are variants of the VW besides mendeola's new sequential trannies.

It runs 7# of boost and an intercooler.
From what I have been reading you would probably be safe with 12-14psi boost?? With your intercooler your only limited by your engine internals, no?
I am being told I can safley run 7psi boost with no intercooler, and I have more compression than you???
A couple good dyno runs to get it dialed in you might have too much motor. hahaaa:D

very nice vids. I'm full of questions for you but will keep them limited.

when you did your mid plate, motor plate or adapter plate, whatever you want to call it,,, and a custom flywheel... where did you mount the starter?... on the motor side or tranny side? I would think you mounted the starter to the mid plate. if you mounted it on the motor side, what starter was your choice of preference since the stock starter if mounted on the motor side would turn the motor the wrong way.

also, what is the diameter of the flywheel?

What engine management did you choose to go with? Did you use the stock trigger that comes on the motor or set up your own trigger mechanism?

The VW trans houses the starter. The adapter just mimics a VW motor. As well as the flywheel. We do use a HI-TORQUE starter and a heavy duty clutch. All the engine stuff is stock.
