Well, along with the J35A4 I got a Garrett GT35r, 44mm Tial wastegate and a 50mm Tial BOV.
Looking for 350ish WHP on 8 psi boost.
Project started today, will let you guys know.
Thanks for the help.
Will post dyno chart when done.

Will you be doing a tranny upgrade as well?
Yeah, picked up a Mendeola 2D with all weddle gears.
It's at the fab shop as we speak. It's looking like a PITA to switch over to the 2d from the bus box, plus the 2d has a bigger input shaft and I needed a bigger flywheel, clutch, pressure plate. The trans upgrade was not cheap... really screwed the budget up..

Thats why I went with a Megasand, Its more of a direct interchange for the 091. I did have to fab up new mounts but the location of the engine didn't change. Not to mention I used the same axels.

BTW I have 9" Honda Flywheels in stock.

I have a question ive heard that that engine of certain acura's will fit the 98 accord v6 will the tranny fit too?
I am no expert but after MUCH reading I can tell you yes, it will.
Same bellhousing pattern on the J32a1/J32a2 as the J30a1.
I have read however that the transmissions are not liking any extra HP.

Yeah, I looked up the Megasand but after much research I went ahead with the Mendeola. The larger input shaft the bigger R&P and bigger bearings sold me. Probably overkill...
I saw your website, I thought you just had adapters... I really could have used that 9" wheel.
What are your thoughts on a stage 4, 6 puck 8" holding up behind 350-400hp?
If I grenade the clutch I will be giving you a jingle.
Kennedy adapters were 2-3 weeks out from getting some back in stock.

I ran a 8" stage 3 /6 puck and didn't have a problem (besides grenading the trans). I think they will work but will have a shorter life than a 9"

Why did you go with the j35a4 and not the a1 or a2 series.
Not real sure to be honest. My tuner is the one that suggested it.
After doing much research I found out the 3.2 was a little more stout with better breathing heads (1mm valve difference).
He claims it's not enough to make a difference and that he gets the same dyno numbers with either. I wanted low milage and found one with 22k documented miles. I did look and couldn't find a 3.2 with under 60k miles.
You running pump gas on that boost?

Rail- In this picture, what series block is this. I don't see much ribbing around the clyinders compared to the j32 block. This looks like one of the earlier j30 motors or something else? If it is a 98-02 j30a1 block, tell me a little about the crank and if you have any pictures of that crank, it would answer a few questions I have. I have good reason as the motor I'm building for the SCMOD car pictured on the previous couple pages is going to be a 3.0 if the crank from the 98-02 j30a1 is steel. Do you have any info?
I have a dead '02 3.0 block w/ rotating assy laying in the shed, I can see what it has. The block pictured is a J35A1.

Nice setup guys, have fun :up2:.

BTW, for those who interested and still keep asking me about 3.5L swaps for 6th gen. AV6 there are couple of suggestions:

3.5L NA:
J35A4 stock complete block with J32A2 (10.5:1 CR) pistons
J32A2 stock complete heads
J32A2 stock manifold

3.5L FI (option 1) - complete J35A4 engine (10.0:1 CR pistons)
3.2L FI (option 2) - complete J32A2 engine yes stock
3.5L FI (option 3) - J35A4 block and stock crank/solid deck cylinder sleeves/custom rods/custom pistons with 9.0:1 CR + stock J32A2 complete heads/manifold. If custom forged crank is available - even better.
And both AV6 4AT or CL-S 6MT as you know fits right in.

Next - engine management/tuning. Unfortunately, M62 Eaton (Comptech) supercharger is weak and runs out of steam on 9-9.5psi, good luck on fabricating the MP90 or 112. Thus, custom turbo (same as thinjim and habib have) is the way to go with GT35R unit and 8psi on that is more than enough.

Hope it helps.

comptech S/C is weak?

I would not count the M90 out yet......
If you can fit larger MP90 on the Comptech shaft then great. I don't think Serge said it's impossible, but it takes a lot of effort, patience and money.

Yep, MP90 is larger unit and it takes time/tools/knowledge/patience to make it work since ports are different. So, everything is possible and depends how bad you want however personally I'd rather spend money on the decent turbo kit instead.
